The University of Montana is going to “Party Like 1995” for Homecoming this year, in reference to the year the Griz won their first national championship, in festivities including a pep rally and parade leading up to the Griz football game against Cal Poly on Saturday.
UM also released a vintage-inspired line of clothing in the school’s original copper, silver and gold colors to mark the anniversary. The Griz football team won their first NCAA Division I-AA football championship in 1995 against Furman University.

Hello Walk
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, outside Turner Hall.
Students, faculty, staff and alumni will paint “hello” on the campus sidewalk, with paint and brushes provided.
