Darriynn Brown pleaded guilty to murder the day his trial was supposed to begin in Dallas, according to reports from WFAA , CBS News Texas and Fox 4 .

In May 2021, 4-year-old Cash Gernon was found dead on the street. Brown was subsequently arrested and charged with murder and kidnapping, according to Dallas police.
