North Lanarkshire Council has approved the installation of an ATM at a shop in the village of Carfin. ‌

The local authority’s planning officers used delegated powers to grant an application proposing the machine on the front of a Day Today shop in Motherwell Road. ‌

The shop is surrounded by residential properties and a community centre to the northeast. ‌

The machine will be illuminated in green, black and white, displaying the word “cash” in white lettering.
