AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - More funds are coming to rebuild the bridge that collapsed over Interstate 20 after a fiery crash in June.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced $8 million in federal funding was approved by the Federal Highway Administration for the repair of the Old Vaucluse Road Bridge.

The transportation department says work has already begun on the project and construction is set to start in November with the work expected to be completed by Spring 2026.
