A Bangor man was seriously injured after a crash with a motor vehicle on Burleigh Road on Saturday morning.

The crash was reported at 10:30 a.m. near the intersection with Bomarc Road, Bangor police said in a news release Monday afternoon.

According to Bangor police, the bicyclist was going around a vehicle that had pulled to the side of the road when he was struck.

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured and is cooperating in the investigation, police said.

Police have not identified either person involved in the crash and had not pressed any charges as of Monday afternoon.
