DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — Have room in your life for a new pet? The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is looking for foster families to help take care of their surplus of rescued pets.
According to the ARL, they currently have more than 1,400 animals in their care, resulting in full kennels and foster homes.
To help combat this surplus, the ARL is looking for new homes that may be interested in being a part of their foster family program.
The responsibilities of a foster family can range from caring for a litter of kittens to giving an adult dog a break from being stuck in a shelter.
