SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City International Film Festival (SCIFF) has officially selected the winners! Eight winners have been announced, and the audience choice juried winners are still in the air.

Best High School went to a film from the perspective of a trumpet player getting her chance in the spotlight. Written and directed by Mason Schurstein, A Touch of Jazz won Best High School.

Best Adaptation was won by a film that depicted the struggles of the space race, inspired by Tom Wolfe's The Right Stuff and historical events. Written and directed by Jean de Meuron, Edge of Space won Best Adaptation.
