Police and firefighters Monday responded to a bank on Vine Street in Hollywood where two gallon-sized bottles of liquid were taped to the door.

The call came in at 8:46 a.m., sending the Los Angeles Police and Fire department personnel to bank in the 1600 block of Vine, just south of Hollywood Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The bottles were found to contain a type of resin or polymer that was not considered hazardous, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

No medical complaints were reported, she said.

Associated street and business closures ended about 12:40 p.m., according to the department.

The LAPD bomb squad was dispatched to assist in the investigation.

“The materials were removed and any affected businesses/areas are reopened,” Stewart said.
