SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - SFD Chief Clarence Reese Jr. has announced the death of Captain Victor Green.

Reese released the following statement:

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Shreveport Fire Department Captain Victor Green on Monday, October 6, 2025.

I want to personally thank the dedicated Shreveport Fire crews and the compassionate staff at Christus Highland Medical Center for the efforts and care they provided to Captain Green during this difficult time. Their professionalism and commitment are deeply appreciated by our department and by Captain Green’s family.

Captain Green began his distinguished career with the Shreveport Fire Department on June 16, 1995. For 30 years, he devoted his life to serving the citizens of Shreveport with honor and dedication. He
