The SPVM says last week, searches were conducted in Toronto, Montreal, Terrebonne, and Longueuil where police also found and seized one kilo of crack cocaine, a firearm, nearly $500,000 in cash, and other evidence.

Four people were also taken into custody in both provinces on Sept. 30, with help from the Toronto Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police.

One of the four that were taken into custody — a 39-year-old man — appeared in court on Oct. 1, and is facing charges of drug possession and trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and contravention of a prohibition order.
