BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) — A man is in custody after fleeing police during a traffic stop Friday in Bowling Green.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, Alen Kuvac, 38, had an active warrant when officers attempted to stop him near Plano Road and I-165.

Authorities say Kuvac ignored the stop and fled south onto I-65.

Kentucky State Police caught up with Kuvac in Simpson County and arrested him.

He now faces multiple charges, including first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, speeding, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, and possession of methamphetamine, among others.

According to jail records, Kuvac is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 8 at 8:30 a.m.
