EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The USI foundation is about to receive a million dollar grant from the Good Samaritan Home, all in hopes of expanding options for students.
This partnership will establish the University of Southern Indiana-Good Samaritan Internship Program.
The USI College of Liberal Arts and the Social Work Program will oversee the program and create the program’s goals.
It will support paid internship opportunities for students enrolled in Social Work Programs, as well as fund a clinical faculty position for five years.
“I hope this means additional opportunities for our students as far as paid internships which increases the support they’re providing to communities,” said Andrea Gentry, president of the USI foundation.
