The Bruins neither claimed anyone nor lost anyone on waivers as the 2 p.m. deadline came and went with no movement regarding Boston.
There had been concern, particularly about forward Matěj Blümel and goalie Michael DiPietro, but both will head to the AHL and join the Providence Bruins.
DiPietro was one of the best goalies in the AHL last year, but the Bruins have Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo entrenched as the goalie tandem.
Blümel looked likely to make the varsity for much of training camp as he took shifts in the top six and spent time on the second power play unit. Instead, he was one of the last players cut.
The Bruins signed Blümel to an $875,000 AAV one-way deal in the offseason. The former fourth-round pick of the Oilers had 39 goals, 33 assists for 72 points in 67
