Matthieu Blazy ‘s debut collection for Chanel , presented in Paris on Monday, reimagined the French house’s classic cap-toe.

Among the footwear statements, a number of elegant, high-cut heels rounded out Blazy’s looks, which were modeled in a celestial setting at Grand Palais amid Paris Fashion Week . The designer played with the proportions of the quintessential cap-toe pump, in one case making the toe accent smaller.

This could be seen in different color combinations, including beige with a black-cap toe, which is the palette of the famous two-toned slingback created by Coco Chanel and Parisian shoemaker Raymond Massaro. Introduced in 1957, the look became a signature of the house.
