SPOKANE, Wash. — The suspect accused of setting a man on fire in downtown Spokane in September has been arrested, according to court documents.
Court records show that an officer with the Spokane Police Department was flagged down by a man, identified as David Karn, who told the officer that a man he knew as Dupree walked up to him, poured gasoline or some kind of accelerant on him, and then set him on fire near the North Browne Street viaduct on Sept. 17.
Karn was taken to the hospital and later flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he is being treated for severe burns to 67% of his body, according to court documents.
