New Orleans wide receiver Rashid Shaheed showed off his need for speed Sunday at Caesars Superdome.

The former Weber State star reeled off a career-long 87-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter of the Saints’ 26-14 victory over the New York Giants, giving first-year head coach Kellen Moore his first victory.

After New Orleans quarterback Spencer Rattler faked a handoff, he looked downfield and threw deep to Shaheed, who was crossing the field from left to right. Shaheed caught the ball near the Giants’ 45 and outraced a pair of defenders to the end zone to make it a 14-13 game on a play that helped spark the Saints comeback.
