DENVER (KDVR) — Coach Deion Sanders said Saturday after the University of Colorado vs. Texas Christian University game that he thought he had more blood clots in his leg.

The CU head football coach could be seen during the game walking without one shoe and at times sitting down.

"The cat is out of the bag, alright, I think I got more blood clots. It doesn't make sense. I'm hurting like crazy," he said to reporters.

Sanders has a history of blood clots and had two toes amputated in 2021. He had more surgeries to remove blood clots in 2023.

Dr. Matt McDiarmid is an Interventional Cardiologist at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge. He has no connection to Coach Prime but says he hopes that Sanders is getting diagnostic testing.
