US President Donald Trump said Monday that Hamas has agreed to very important things in talks over his proposed Gaza ceasefire plan as Israeli and Hamas officials hold indirect negotiations in Egypt.
"I think Hamas has been agreeing to things that are very important," President Donald Trump said from the Oval Office on Monday. "We have a really good chance of making a deal, and it’ll be a lasting deal."
Talks began at Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh , bringing together delegations from Israel, Hamas, Egypt, Qatar, and the US as mediators. Both Israel and Hamas have agreed to some of the proposals of Trump’s Gaza peace plan to end the two-year conflict, including the release of hostages, and humanitarian aid for Palestinians.
