DES MOINES – The harvest has shifted into high gear, but just how well it is progressing is a mystery thanks to the logjam in Washington, D.C.
Information from the Iowa Crop Progress and Condition Report, usually released weekly by the United States Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service through November, was not available due to the federal government shutdown.
