FARGO — Downtown Fargo is seeing more pint-sized visitors than usual this week as local elementary students tour the city’s historic sites.

On Monday, Oct. 6, third graders from Bennett, Madison and Lincoln elementary schools visited downtown after seeing the Fargo Theatre as part of their social studies curriculum.

The students are learning about the city’s history while walking to landmarks such as the Great Northern Bicycle Company, the Black Building and Hotel Donaldson. They listen to podcasts created by older students, who explain the significance of each site.

"I can't remember the name, but we watched a movie. Like, not really a movie, but a guy in the olden days, like, black and white (to) show how they watched it way back then," said Rowan Mack, a third grader at Lincoln Ele
