CHARLESTON, Maine (WABI) - A Charleston man and his giant pumpkin were the big winners at the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest and Regatta over the weekend.

Elroy Morgan’s pumpkin weighed in at one thousand six hundred and twenty four point five pounds.

When we caught up with Morgan last month, he told WABI he was already looking forward to next year.

He says his pumpkins are getting bigger every year and hopes to break two thousand pounds one day.
