OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Okaloosa County commissioners will officially open the new Bridge-to-Bridge multi-use path on Okaloosa Island this week, a news release said.

The Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners will hold a ribbon-cutting on Thursday at 9 a.m. at Beasley Park to officially open the "one-of-a-kind photoluminescent path" that connects the John T. Brooks Bridge, once it opens, and the William T. Marler Bridge.

The pedestrian-friendly, 12-foot-wide path is approximately four miles long and offers a safe way for residents and visitors to "enjoy the picturesque natural setting in Destin-Fort Walton Beach," the release said.
