Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez is now facing a felony charge following a bizarre incident over the weekend that left him hospitalized in Indianapolis with stab wounds.

Sanchez, who was in town to serve as Fox Sports color analyst for Sunday’s Indianapolis Colts-Las Vegas Raiders game, is charged with felony battery causing bodily harm. If convicted, he would face a prison sentence of 1-6 years.

“This is by no means the end of this investigation,” prosecutor Ryan Mears said, via NBC Sports . “This by no means that these are going to be the final charges that we move forward with.”
