NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Right before The Voice Season 28 premiered, Cori Kennedy packed up her things in Minnesota and moved with her fiancé to Nashville.

"If we're going to pursue this, we're going to do it now," Kennedy said.

About a week later, Kennedy appeared on The Voice singing two songs — "Why Not Me" by The Judds and an original song about performing for the judges.

With chair turns from Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire, Kennedy chose a spot on Team Reba.

"I really showed up to LA wanting Reba to turn that chair. I mean, I think anybody in country music would want to... She's an absolute legend," Kennedy said.

The Voice featured Kennedy's audition as its social "leak" of the week. The video has more than 1.3 million views on YouTube .
