SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Captain Victor Green of the Shreveport Fire Department passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, after 30 years of dedicated service.

He began his career with the department on June 16, 1995, and most recently served at Fire Station 21 as a key member of the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting program, where he provided vital fire protection services at the Shreveport Regional Airport.

The Shreveport Fire Department expressed deep gratitude to the fire crews and staff at Christus Highland Medical Center for their efforts and care during Captain Green's final moments.

Captain Green's passing marks the second loss for the department within a month.
