G. Dana Hobart, who served on the Rancho Mirage City Council for nearly two decades and influenced a wide range of city initiatives and policies, died Saturday, Oct. 4. He was 93.
Hobart, who served on the council from 2002 until 2021, was widely praised by his former colleagues at city hall for his lasting impact on Rancho Mirage. During his time on the council, Hobart also served as the city's appointed mayor in 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2020.
