HOLDEN -- Holbrook School held a ceremony to open its new playground, taking the opportunity to honor a community champion.

Today marks the end of a two-year process spearheaded by RSU 63 school board member Heather Lander to open a new playground for students and area children.

Lander says the estimated $50,000 playground was built with community donations, one of which came from the Holden 25 Days of Kindness.

Organizers decided to dedicate the playground as the Chris Greeley Champion of Kindness Playground, a decision lander says makes sense given Greeley's impact on the community.
