A man was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Hartford on Monday night, police said.

The police department responded to Maple Avenue around 7 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Responding officers found a man in his 20s who suffered multiple gunshot wounds while inside of a car. Authorities believe the gunshots came from another vehicle in the area.

The man was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition, according to police.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are conducting an investigation.
