OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - iJag students at Ottumwa High School are stepping up once again this year raising funds for pediatric cancer.
“It’s really cool how we’re able to support childhood cancer awareness and I really like it. I’m excited for the game that’s on Friday,” said student Ivy Brumbaugh.
The “Gold Out” football game this year is dedicated to the family of Tryce Hugen, a four-year-old battling cancer.
From posters to ribbons to apparel, students said they are glad to be able to spread awareness and gather support.
“The fact that people know that there are other people to help them this is for Tryce obviously and he just needs to know that there are other people that will help him and to show people that we care,” said student Logon Benge.
Last year students raised more than th
