Eastpointe ― One look around David DeRonne's hardware store in Eastpointe and his feelings about a proposal to possibly narrow a portion of Nine Mile from five to three lanes are pretty clear.
Just behind the cash register in DeRonne Hardware and Rental, the store he co-owns, hangs a small sign hanging from the ceiling that reads "NO ROAD DIET" in black capital letters. Another is attached to traffic cones outside the building.
