Local wildlife rescue organisations are set to receive substantial aid, amounting to over $54,000, due to an exciting new initiative by the State Government. This financial assistance is facilitated through the popular sale of Koala State number plates and is the most substantial distribution since the program’s inception.

This initiative caters to 17 licensed not-for-profit and volunteer groups under the second round of the South Australian Wildlife Rehabilitation Grants program. Each grant, up to $5,000, aims to better the care provided to sick and injured native animals by facilitating the purchase of essential supplies, equipment, and training.
