NEW DELHI: Residents across Delhi-NCR woke up to a rainy and stormy Tuesday morning, as overnight showers accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds swept through the region, bringing down temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for the city, warning of more light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and winds gusting up to 40 kmph. All districts of Delhi were under an orange, Uttar Pradesh's Noida and Ghaziabad were also under an orange alert while Haryana's Gurugram and Faridabad were placed under a yellow warning. Triggered by a Western Disturbance, rainfall began on Monday afternoon and continued intermittently into the early hours of Tuesday.
