LARAMIE – The Wyoming Department of Health concluded its recent series of public meetings across the state at the University of Wyoming student union, hosting a town hall focused on the Rural Health Transformation Program .
The final in-person session was held on Thursday, wrapping up a series of eight sessions hosted throughout September and October, along with two virtual meetings conducted on Sept. 23 and 25. Locations included Newcastle, Wheatland, Powell, Buffalo, Lander, Evanston, Saratoga and Laramie.
The effort follows Section 71401 of House Resolution 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act , signed into law July 4. The section created the program and directed significant federal resources toward strengthening health care in rural communities.
