It took just one more disastrous performance for Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor to reverse his stance on backup quarterback Jake Browning . Just last week, Taylor was firm in his support of Browning, despite the signal-caller’s struggles in relief of the injured Joe Burrow (out with a Grade 3 turf toe). As per an X post, when asked if Browning would start the upcoming Week 6 game, Taylor was noncommittal but took accountability, saying:

“We’ll see where it goes. Like all personnel decisions, we have to evaluate it. Jake’s been very accountable for how the game went for him. I’ve got to be accountable for how the game went for me as well.”

Looks like, at least now, the head coach’s mind is about to be a bit flexible. On Sunday, Taylor watched Browning struggle yet again,
