What started as a simple project during the pandemic has quickly turned into a "spook-tacular" for the community to enjoy.

Local actor Tyler Hanes began carving pumpkins for his home display in 2020.

"It was a little COVID project, I guess you would say, and that year it started with 200 pumpkins," said Hanes, who had no idea that this simple gesture to bring joy to nearby residents would blossom into hundreds of people visiting his home-pumpkin display each October.

Hanes used to carve pumpkins with his mom, but at one point, he grew tired of putting in hard, creative work only to see his designs rot away just hours after completion.
