An urgent warning has been issued for UK households who must delete a popular VPN app - because it secretly spies on your screen and empties bank accounts.

Cleafy, cyber security experts, say at least an eye-watering 3,000 devices are thought to have been infected so far. The app, Modpro IP TV + VPN, is infected with dangerous malware called Klopatra.

"Once the main Klopatra payload is installed, the real threat manifests," Cleafy explained in a warning for UK households. "The malware immediately requests a wide range of permissions, but one is crucial for its success: the Android Accessibility Services permission.
