The curfew imposed in Cuttack city has been lifted after remaining peaceful for the past 36 hours.

The decision comes as a relief to residents, following violent clashes during a Durga Puja idol immersion procession that left many people injured and prompted the arrest of eight individuals.

Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner S. Devdutt Singh confirmed the absence of any untoward incidents, marking a significant step toward restoring normalcy.
