We have one more day of summery warmth before October reality sets in. Highs on Tuesday again will reach into the low 80s, but breezes will be a bit stronger, and some clouds will move in during the afternoon.

Temperatures will be a smidge cooler across southeastern Massachusetts, thanks to the wind off the water. Humidity ramps up as a sharp cold front approaches later overnight.

Rain should break out in the wee hours of the morning. This front is juiced with a couple of imbedded downpours, so there should be some beneficial water here. Model projections have been all over the place, but generally we’re in the half inch to inch range for rainfall through Wednesday midday.
