Bengaluru: A 26-year-old woman died by suicide in Bengaluru after allegedly being harassed by her husband for giving birth to a girl child.

The accused, identified as Ravish, also assaulted his three-year-old daughter on previous occasions, including an incident where he allegedly burned her ear. Furthermore, he is said to have refused to settle the hospital bill following the birth of their daughter, as reported by The New Indian Express on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rakshitha, a resident of Muneshwara Block near Laggere. Her father has lodged a complaint against Ravish, a manager at a private bank, and his brother Lokesh, accusing them of harassing and ultimately murdering her.
