Scots are still recovering from the chaos brought by Storm Amy this past weekend, where record-breaking gusts of nearly 100mph were recorded. The country was battered by severe weather that triggered an intense amber wind warning for some parts of Scotland, while the rest saw yellow wind and rain alerts. ‌

But this week is looking drier and brighter for most, as high pressure takes over. In fact, tomorrow, October 8 is to see 'plenty of sunshine' for all but two unlucky areas of Scotland where the rain and wind will prevail. ‌

Everywhere but the far north and far west of the country is to catch some well deserved relief tomorrow from the seemingly constant downpours of late. And amid the introduction of some high pressure, temperatures are to be mild
