A mum has hit out after her daughter was suspended from school. The incensed parent blasted the school's "ridiculous" uniform policy after her daughter, Izobella Dawson, was suspended for four days. The 13-year-old was ordered to stay at home for breaching a "no jewellery" rule in place - by wearing "invisible" earrings to hide her piercings. ‌

Her mum, Rachel, said the retainers were barely-visible, and are widely advertised as "disguising" piercings. The 42-year-old said she received a call from the school saying Izobella was going to be suspended, as she refused to take them out or attend isolation. The teenager was initially suspended for two days, but was suspended again when she again refused to remove them. ‌
