A 20-year-old Warren has been charged with second-degree murder on the allegation he shot his 63-year-old male roommate last Thursday, according to Macomb County prosecutors.

Kayvon Briscoe-Hall was arraigned Monday by Judge Suzanne Faunce of 37th District Court in Warren on the murder charge as well as a charge of felony-firearm possession for the incident. The murder charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.

Warren police responded to a residence and found Briscoe-Hall outside and his roommate on a floor inside the home unresponsive and bleeding from at least one gunshot. Life-saving efforts were performed and the victim was transported by Warren firefighters to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, where he was pronounced deceased.
