The City of Athens, Tennessee, is set to host a Veterans Memorial Brick ceremony to honor those who have served in the military.

The special event will be hosted at Veterans Memorial Park on October 11, beginning at 11:00 am.

The ceremony will include the presentation of the eagle "Challenger", the unveiling of new monuments, brick dedications honoring veterans, and a quilts of valor presentation.

The city encourages visitors to bring lawn chairs if needed.
