A Middlesbrough primary school that's 'committed to inclusion' has been praised for its "genuine sense of warmth and calm". Sunnyside Academy in Coulby Newham received the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) award following a recent inspection visit.

In her report, assessor Annette Sowden, said: “The moment you step through the front doors of Sunnyside, you are met with a genuine sense of warmth and calm. Inclusion is not just a policy here - it is at the very heart of everything the school does.
