The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday activated a demo registration link (click here ) to help Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) 2026 candidates get familiarised with the examination process.

This follows a September 30 notice from the NTA—in which it requested JEE (Main) 2026 candidates to update their Aadhaar card details—coming to the fore after reports of a rule change.

Reports say that from the 2026 examination sessions onwards, eligible aspirants would no longer be able to choose their preferred exam centres in the application form.

This is because exam centres for the two JEE sessions—January and April—will now reportedly be allocated using the candidate's Aadhaar card address
