NSW all-rounder Chris Green was on Tuesday issued a code of conduct breach for dissent after a bizarre incident in which he was given out but then recalled.

Cricket Australia dealt Green a code of conduct breach for remonstrating with an umpire over a caught-behind decision during the Sheffield Shield match between NSW and Western Australia this week.

Umpire Gerard Abood gave Green out at the WACA on Monday, deeming the finger-spinning all-rounder had nicked a Matthew Kelly bouncer through to wicketkeeper Joel Curtis. Advertisement

But after spending several minutes consulting with the other umpire, William Salzmann, Abood overturned his call after coming to the decision that the ball had hit Green's helmet.

Green ended up on his backside after attempting to duck Kelly's bouncer. T
