OLATHE, Kan. -- The Olathe School Board is set to vote on a recommendation to move more than 100 students from Westview Elementary to Rolling Ridge Elementary on November 6.
The proposed move aims to keep a group of 150 students together, minimizing disruption as they transition to a new school environment.
Rolling Ridge Elementary was chosen due to its proximity to Westview and its minimal impact on existing middle and high school feeder patterns.
The decision to move Westview students comes after the Olathe School District explored five different options for integrating these students into other schools.
