Alec Baldwin was involved in a car accident in East Hampton, New York, on Monday morning. Authorities reported that Baldwin crashed his SUV into a tree but was unharmed. The front of his vehicle sustained significant damage.

In an Instagram video, Baldwin addressed the incident, stating, "I just want to post a quick message. I got all these inquiries about my car thing this morning -- I was in a car accident this morning. I'm fine." He explained that his brother, Stephen Baldwin, was visiting him for the Hamptons International Film Festival and was in the car at the time of the crash.

Baldwin described the accident, saying, "A guy cut me off in a truck, a big garbage truck the size of a whale. To avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big, fat tree. It crushed my car — it crushed my wife's car, I feel bad about that." He reassured viewers, saying, "It's all fine, and I'm fine and my brother's fine."

Baldwin expressed gratitude to the East Hampton Police Department for their prompt response. He mentioned that he would soon be traveling to Los Angeles to see his family. His wife, Hilaria Baldwin, is currently competing on "Dancing with the Stars" and was eliminated in the previous episode. Baldwin added, "I'm still so proud of my wife. Hilaria, I love you more than anything and I’m very proud of you."

Stephen Baldwin's representatives confirmed that he was not injured in the crash. They stated, "Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well." This story is still developing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
