A widow is suing an electricity distribution company after her gardener husband was electrocuted while pruning hedges. Tina Campbell, 42, said her life had been “completely shattered” following her husband Blair Campbell’s tragic death at the age of 35.

An inquest at Cheshire Coroner's Court heard the father of two moved to the UK from New Zealand and set up the firm Blue Kiwi Gardens and Maintenance in plush Mobberley, Cheshire, in 2020. But as he was cutting hedges at a client's home, he suffered a fatal electric shock after he accidentally cut through a substation wire on a pole-mounted substation on October 3, 2022.
