Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and congratulated him on his 73rd birthday.

Government sources said that the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. PM Modi also conveyed that he looks forward to welcoming President Putin to India, Press Trust of India reported, quoting government sources.
